It can help to acknowledge any complex feelings and or intrusive thoughts and allow ourselves to sit with these feelings and challenge those thoughts, whilst reminding ourselves they are all a normal part of being human and that there are no wrong or right ways to feel. This time of year can be peppered with responsibilities, engagements and pressures and we can feel very quickly exhausted by the holiday season. In amongst all the festivities it is important to remember to rest when needed. Self care is recognizing when we need the break and eating healthy foods and staying active. Isolation can be a big thief of joy and it can feel amplified at this time of year, so maintaining a support network can be a strong protector of good mental health.
